Went to the parents house on the northshore to take care of the animals heading back to the city I see a tornadic waterspout form (which was pretty cool tbh) and once in the city, tried to navigate side streets to get home because of traffic, 3 foot of water on the median I stopped on. This city sucks balls because when I left for the northshore, 2 hours prior there wasn't a cloud around but again, a thunderstorm swamps the city.and SWB says the pumps are 10-8, lol ok we fricked, again, when a real storm comes around

You shouldn't drink when navigating a flood.

Why is it the city’s fault that 8” of rain fell in one hour?

shite if I know, but this isn’t the only time it’s happened. Lake view floods when a normal storm rolls through. A couple years ago when there was push back they ran the pumps and they caught on fire. The city is ran by morons

I was about to correct you, then realized you meant Sewer & Water Board, not Sharon Weston Broome.

Regardless, they’re both horrible at their jobs.

That I can’t argue

But there really isn’t much the pumps could have done today the way things are set up.

My grip is, we got dumped on for 2 solid hours. Once the rain stopped it Took a while for the pumps to start moving the water.

Once the water started moving it was moving in one direction for about an hour.

Then the water stopped moving and it started rising 3 inches higher than it was when it stopped raining.

Then about 30 minutes later the water started moving in the opposite direction finally the water went down around three hours after it stops raining.

Something is fishy something doesn’t smell right that’s what I want answered

Why did it take so long for the pumps to start moving a water?

Why was the water moving in one direction so quickly as it was coming up higher?

Then it stopped moving and coming up then it started moving in the and opposite direction and it went down

Fighting tiger's light switch controls the pumps. Up means pumps go into the lake, and down means they go into the city

I was watching the Earthcam footage of the French Quarter and I kept telling myself..."I don't seem to remember these Quarter streets flooding like this before these "improvements" were made.
