Or, hear me out, American companies can stop outsourcing their labor to Indians.

Not going to happen. The US has been working on their relationship with India. They are trying to show India that the US welcomes Indian people.

There is no such thing as "America first". Its just more buzzwords to get people to cheer at rallies.

Well, tariffs don’t seem to actually work. The companies paying the tariffs just passes along the cost.

The only way this stops is if the end users demand non-foreign goods / labor.

Won’t matter. Profit being a leading indicator of good management has gone the way of the dodo.

Return on capital invested now is the leading qualifier on executive achievement. i.e. for every dollar spent in resources for the company, you get an x% return on it.

That’s why all these companies making record profits are still prioritizing laying people off. The executives aren’t going to get great bonuses just because the business is doing well.

I love threads like these. MFers are always ready to tell other people what to do and pay higher prices to protect their jobs, but readily drive passed their local shops to order shite from China off Amazon.

No. White collar jobs salaries are out of control and hurt the United States ability to compete in the global market.
