The Board of Supervisors unanimously approved legislation Tuesday introduced by Supervisor Malia Cohen that prohibits retailers from selling flavored tobacco products, including menthol cigarettes, flavored chewing tobacco and flavored liquids containing nicotine used in electronic cigarettes, which disproportionately impact the LGBT and black communities.

If those studies are true, then probably.

At least in NOLA. They have a disproportionate number of those two groups compared to the rest of the state.

I wonder if she was adopted by Jewish parents (not unlikely in San Francisco), or if Chaim had a thing for black chicks.

Every time I see some gays chewing tobacco I think to myself, it sure is a shame that these devil companies target these people with their attractive homosexual products

BTW, following SFs lead on anything is prolly a bad idea unless it's 1985 and your NFL team needs a new offensive strategy

Just ban the semen-flavored ones.

I'd be willing to give up flavored tobacco and menthols, in exchange for legal weed. Do that, and everyone is happy.

No more cartons of Kools and grape cigarillos? San Fransisco still has gay black crackheads and plenty of other black people who are probably going to be pretty pissed when they have to drive to another city just for tobacco. This won't last long.

Of course not. Should we ban flavored alcohol too? It disproportionately affects the white whore community. That's a rather large group.

I've known a lot of Jewish people that did. It's hard to argue with those curves.

Smokeless tobacco is about 100 times safer than smoking tobacco, at least when looking at heart disease. I think it's a good idea, but don't lump them all together. I'll be curious to see what kind of health issues become from vaping.

And not really if it's bad for you it's about your right to use tobacco if you want. If you know it's bad for you and you want to go ahead. And following Cali in anything is usually bad

Why is this even mentioned?

So it's only important to "save" blacks and gays? If it impacted everybody equally would she not want to ban it?

Either it's an issue or it's not. Who it affects should have nothing to do with it.

That being said, frick this legislation regardless. And I don't smoke or chew.
