If I got a dui at .144, I’d likely lose my job or at least face a long suspension without pay

Depends on if she is a Democrat or Republican?
If she is a Democrat, no one cares and this a resume enhancement.
If she is a Republican, burn her politically on the stake.
WBRZ needs to work on their writing. They didn’t put her party affiliation. So she might be a Democrat.
Edit:
Just looked it up. She is a Republican.

Anyway, most people on average drive a minimum of 10 times while intoxicated before getting caught.

So while she was drunk, she made a bad decision in her life, so that means she can’t make a good decision in session while sober.
I'd be willing to bet that the lady driving around and getting into wrecks blackout drunk on a Tuesday night isn't completely sober many hours of the day.

Good chance, yeah

wondering if she’s a habitual drunk and how she’d fit inside the vagrancy law definition.

If she is a D, she will get away with it, and can do it over and over. Hell, she could kill someone driving drunk at it would be OK.
If she is an R, she must resign immediately.

If we want to go public office only, I can start posting republican politicians caught in many different indiscretions that didnt get burned at the stake

I will respond, the last two sitting US Senators to get arrested were in the year 2007 amd 2012
Larry Craig-Republican-tapping his foot in a bathroom....
Michael Crapo-Republican-DUI
Neither were kicked out of office
Michael Crapo is still actively in the Senate

Didn’t Brandon misuse a bunch of funds and get arrested before? Is that really the only other option?
No. I live next door to Ryan Bessinger, who was running also. Seemed like a good candidate who was in it for the right reasons. West Point grad, currently serving in the guard, working as an engineer I think. He's new to the area and doesn't have the family connections of the other candidates, so in Ascension parish means he never had a chance.

She shouldn't have to resign. She should be removed immediately.

Not sure what you are trying to argue or with who, the subject of the thread is pretty specific. Should Kathy Edmonston resign?
his DUI report was buried for years and only came to light when reporters started demanding to see it due to the freedom of information act

Nope... it’s only a dwi that could have potentially killed some innocent person.
But a judge said the N word on a private text message.... she def should have resigned.

quote:No. The judge was holding up warrants and cases because her lover spurned her and she was pissed off
But a judge said the N word on a private text message
The embarrassing part was it took the N-word text message to finally get her removed....
