The Hong Kong flu killed a million people globally in 1968 and we had Woodstock right during the peak.

Will likely be in 2 more weeks from now instead of a week. If there is a big spike, so far it's generally seemed to take 3 weeks after people begin to mingle to spread it around.

This link contradicts a lot of what you are saying. I haven't really followed Georgia, was just trying to figure out why their lag is 14 days and cane across it.

That doesn't mean all the numbers are 14 days behind. Just that some cases may not be known yet.

Right, there's a 14 day lag in reporting all the tests.
As in, it takes up to 14 days for them to get all (the complete set, not just partial results) the results back due to multiple reasons. You just misinterpreted what I meant because I didnt explain in detail. I didnt say or intend to say that they dont update the numbers during that time period daily though. I check the chart daily and see this occur.
But regardless, I think you understand my original post now. I was only mentioning the completed datasets and there isnt 30 days of data

By and large the worst cases are being reported sooner than they were previously.
There are a few avenues of testing available to GA residents
Department of Health/drive by testing - 7-14 days
Outpatient testing through labcorp/Quest - 2-5 days
Outpatient testing through in-house testing - within 48 hours
Inpatient testing through in-house testing - within 2 hours
So the truth is, there's not going to be an accurate way to gauge trends because you are having a variety of different testing methods reporting on the same day even if the test was collected a few days or week apart.
Anecdotally, in my region, there's been no spike in cases and admissions are trending downard. I get daily emails from one hopsital and weekly from another, and there's been no increase in census. We are down to 1 patient at one of the hospitals and the higher volume hospital is trending downward. Maybe the atlanta metro is different, as we in Savannah region were never impacted as much as other parts of the state. But the overall trend for the state continues to decline.

Mississippi has steadily increased with two highest days this past weekend since reopening . Tate was fussing bc younger crowd (20-40) were the most cases and not being responsible . Shut down #2 looming

That is not what anyone sensible would expect. The riot would have spread the virus among primarily young and healthy people. They, in turn, would bring it home to more vulnerable people. I would expect two incubation periods before a spike even started. Then I would expect another couple of incubation periods before it became a big spike, so about 25 days.
