If people don't think we should prioritize stopping infections I suppose that's an argument but children, elderly, immunocompromised, and some healthy people will die in larger numbers without quarantines.
Has a child died yet?

My father-in-law who's 86 continues to go out daily to run various errands. We've told him numerous times that he needs to stay home but his response is, "I'm not worried about it; I'm healthy"

You ain’t never lied. He’s been putting up with stupid shite like that for the 40 years I’ve known him. Sometimes I feel sorry for him, but then I realize he should have handled up on that years ago.
I count my blessings ever day.

Rules are being put in place to try to get this crap over with ASAP and minimize those infected

80% of coronavirus patients in L.A. County are ages 18 to 65
DEMOGRAPHICS: Of those who have tested positive, 80% are people ages 18 to 65, and 42% are in the 18-40 age group. “This virus can infect affect people from across the board,” said Dr. Barbara Ferrer, director of the L.A. County Public Health Department, on Monday. Those numbers are fairly in line with the statewide breakdown of COVID-19 cases as of Sunday:
Ages 0-17: 25 cases
Ages 18-49: 837 cases
Ages 50-64: 442 cases
Ages 65 and older: 415 cases
Unknown: 14 cases

Those Senior Citizens running around and partying all night.
You're bullshitting but they really are going about their lives. I saw two old women trailing each other around the store. Laughing and speaking to everyone. She stopped me to talk as if there were no worries in the world.
