I read it all and don't believe you, because any story that doesn't end with a dog owner kicking the everloving shite out of you after you shoot their dog with a pellet gun is not a believable story.
A dog will do what an owner allows it to, because dogs will do dog things. If you shot the owner, that would be fine. You shoot the dog, you deserve an arse kicking.

I shot my neighbors dog with one about 20 years ago. Wife came over to my house and had a screaming fit.
I told her to keep it on her property, if it came after my cat's kittens again I'd use the shotgun next time.
Never had another problem with it.

If they're trash, they'll be willing to hurt a dog. But if they're decent people, they'll frick you over in a more creative, better way. It takes a true piece of shite to hurt a dog.
Personally, I'd frick with your sewer cleanout. Probably bust a few sprinkler heads and hide dead fish around your property. I might even draw on penis in your yard using salt. But dogs are off limits to anyone halfway civilized.

Totally legal to shoot and even kill a dog on your property. I'm not going dig up the law right now but it's there. I was in a situation where I needed to know ahead of time because of some chicken killing dogs near me.

Exactly right. Out here in the boondocks I tried calling our brand new at the time animal shelter (thx to Haynesville shale) and animal control people about a pitbull and mutt tossed out on my property.
Know what the shelter/control people told me? Choot 'em, choot, choot!!
