Prayers to the families. Plane crashed on a busy highway.

A wedding car was among several vehicles destroyed when a 1950s plane crashed into a busy Sussex road during an air display
An air show turned to horror when a Hawker plane crashed into a busy bypass, hitting cars including a wedding limousine, and killing seven people.
The plane struck at least four cars on Saturday on the A27 near Brighton, after failing to pull out of a loop manoeuvre at the Shoreham Air Show in time.
A Daimler, believed to be registered to a wedding car hire company, was caught up in the crash. It is not known if any members of a wedding party were among the victims.

Seven people died, a further two were taken to hospital, one with life threatening injuries, and 14 people were treated at the scene. Witnesses described seeing two firebombs in the sky as the 1950s plane, piloted by Andy Hill, a British Airways captain and a former RAF instructor in his 50s, failed to emerge from the stunt.

It should. You just watched 7 people die.

I am a huge aviation enthusiast but these accidents make me question the risk involved with low altitude maneuvers

So sad. Wonder is the plane failed or if something medical happened to the pilot?

All that pasture on both sides. What would have been the odds that it would have crashed right on the road before he took off? That's like a tee shot I hit years ago. One skinny pine tree off the left side of the fairway about 100 yards away and my ball hit it dead center and bounced backwards, landed on the cart path, and rolled past me into the pond behind the box I was teeing from. Had no clue how to play that. I ended up dropping where it entered 20 yards behind the tee and hit my 3rd shot from there.
And I can't imagine what those poor souls were thinking when that plane was coming right at them.

I believe the pilot survived and is the one who is fighting for his life

He comes in at a high rate of speed from a fairly steep angle and from the ground, those trees are a bit taller than they look in the Gif. Though there was a break in the trees where he came down. Still, I doubt many of those who died saw it coming. I wonder how many of the injured were from being hit by cars who couldn't stop in time, rather than the crash itself.
All of that said, you see more of these types of crashes than it feels like you should. Makes you start to wonder if these guys don't check their planes as often as they should. Say, they do their run twice in a day, but they, or their crew, only check(s) it before the first run, and not the second. Boom, mechanical failure.
Though, based on the maneuver he was doing, and his age. I seriously think he may have passed out at the bottom end of that loop.
Edit: Nevermind, he didn't pass out, he was pulling on the stick for all he was worth at the last second. He seriously misjudged something somewhere. If it was mechanical failure, I don't think he would have been able to flatten out as much as he did before impact. What fricking sucks is that he took out all of those people, because he tried to save himself when he realized what was happening. If he had just gone straight down, no one dies but him. Can't blame him though, way too much going on in that moment. Plus, his reflexes at his age, are nowhere near what they were when he was 25. Our reflexes age considerably throughout our life.

I wonder that too...he was a retired RAF pilot and it was pretty hot yesterday for UK standards...I wonder if he had a heart attack or something...

Loop maneuver - maybe he blacked out easily done with health issues not being treated I'm assuming? If really was trying to pull up than it makes his last seconds completely horrible. Damn

The road where the plane crashed is in Sussex. Killed a couple of soccer players in the crash who were minor celebrities. But Paul McCartney lives in Sussex . Can you imagine the cluster frick if....
