Best washer and dryer? Speed Queen. Also, one of the most expensive.
We have the Maytag Maxima W/D. Excellent set. High quality. Basically the same as Whirlpool.
Refrigerator? Kitchen Aid. Kitchen Aid. Kitchen Aid. Stay away from LG and Samsung that occupies much of the retail space in most retail boxes.

I recently retired so I can't help you...
Bottom line on appliances is that "they all good till they break", "some people swear by a particular brand, the next person swears at that same brand"
I was always successful by selling what gave the client the "most for the least" at the particular time they were shopping in the parameters they gave me...can't stress enough the importance to plan your purchase when possible around holiday weeks...

I sold lots of Cafe...American built product (except microwave)
and would not hesitate to own myself. Nice professional/commercial look without spending $20-$25k...

I have lg washer and dryer and a Samsung fridge....no complaints
