Saw that on the news this morning. Strange place for a shooting.. Right near Industriplex. I'm not even surprised anymore when I turn on the news in the morning and they report multiple shootings overnight in BR

It was at the apartments behind Academy. I haven't been back there in 10 years but I'm sure they've gone downhill like all apartments in this city eventually do.

Those apartments started at the bottom of the hill.....subsidized housing. Just like they put up on S. Harrell's Ferry near O'Neal Lane

So this is generally what happens. Shitty arse developers throw up these apartment complexes in nice areas that eventually turn to shite and trash moves into them. But, the developer makes some money so he doesn't give a shite.

Siegen is surprisingly sketchy around there. Drifter trash begs from the shoppers in the area and no one does shite about it.

Wife and I were walking home from a neighborhood party in Jefferson Terrace area and I heard the shots but my wife thought it was fireworks or something and I questioned myself thinking it must have been a Halloween prank. When we got home I hear tons of police/ambulance/fire and actually thought it was in one of the areas in JT so I drove in my car to check it out but neighborhood was silent.
Wow. Wonder what the story with this is? Curious to see more details.

There was also a shooting last night on Klienert and perkins. The shootings are starting to creep south. Frankly, I don't care what happens in north baton rouge, but keep it there. Don't start bringing this bullshite to "nice" parts of the city. It's like a disease that is starting to spread to other parts of the body that must be stopped.
Where have you been the last 60 years?

why is the developer shitty? He didn't build section 8 apartments from scratch. You should blame the complex management company for renting to that element.
then again, the management company probably can't help it as they'll get sued/fined if they discriminate against the renters.

I blame the developer and appraiser that tells the banks the area can support another complex.

Developers often get tax breaks to build section 8 (affordable housing) in good parts of the city.

Section 8 is cancer.
