There are two sets of metal detectors before you even step foot in NRG. One to get into the food/drink area and the second into the stadium.

That have been reported as turned off/not working. Even after a certain amount of time the security leaves the gate. If someone wanted to bomb/shoot up the rodeo, it would be pretty easy.

this. I think they use them for NFL games, but every year I've been, there wasn't shite in terms of much security. But really, if you want to choose a place for a mass shooting and decide on a fricking rodeo in texas, good luck with that. You might as well pick a gun show or an NRA convention

Wasn't NRG but the parking lot infront of the carnival.
This guy I was talking to the other day ran security for the rodeo carnival when one guy was shot inside the carnival 2-3 years back. He said that the security agent let the guy leave and come back without being rescreened.
