He is just running his mouth. In my field I probably won't make 120k plus at any point in time. However, I love what I do.

Send them text every other weekend, when you're off and they're working

You people need to get with the program. Operators work in plants which are on land, near their homes which they are rarely at. Rig hands travel with their truck nuts.

Patiently waiting for offended plant operators...

That's the goal one day. If I can make it to HR manager then I'll be doing pretty good.

Being a plant operator is a great job! I'm the only one in my family not in the petro industry and they all make great money.

What exactly does a plant operator do? Why do they make $100k+?

Sounds like someone who will be selling off assets and asking for money when the going gets tough in a very volatile industry, and one who will be waiting for that social security check when he retires.
He doesn't mean rig operators. Operators in refineries are union and pretty hard to fire.

You'll always have a job
As long as there are attorneys there will be a need for an HR department

My wife was a HR direct of the east coast for a large corporation for several years. Then she moved to ops.

Maybe a new operator that hasn't maxed out their pay yet.

Watch movies, nap, then go lock and tag a valve every now and then.
