If you pay someone for installation, have a window screen ready to put on the outside, to stop the next rock, limb, or whatever.

this window is not like normal windows... there is not spot for a screen or anything

So, you have that large a window right over your bathtub??
If you want to go cheaper, get a sheet of 1/4 inch plexiglass. Personally, I wouldn't have clear glass in my bathroom and my only window is next to the tub about 5 ft. off the floor and it is one of those frosted glasses you can't see through and it's roughly 36 x 48 or so.

Big river glass. I just shattered a pane in our patio door weedeating. Total is about $180 I think

You could always measure it yourself to the exact measurement and let them know that is for no wiggle room and they will allow for it, but make sure you get it right because you will be buying it either way.
I, however, would assume a glass man would have taken accurate measurements, but I would double check just to make sure. They may be charging you for the size of glass they need to make the exact cut to fit your frame.

just called them... she told me glass is not cheap and quoted around the same

My wife is 59 and still looks very good to me. Other opinions may vary, but mine is the only one that really counts.

No. I give people block dimensions for that very reason. I'm not going to come out and give you a dimension just so you can turn around and get it from someone else.
