And yet some criminal politician 75 year old white guy will run again that none of the younger voters give a frick about, 2000 whites will vote and SWB will win without a run off.

So glad I got away from the sinking ship

Democracy in a nutshell. This is why it sucks as a form of government.

Her running isn’t a surprise.

Question is whether her idiot money men will find an alternative or if they want to keep ruling over the ashes of what she is leaving behind.

Good luck, BR. She never should have won a first or second term, so you are probably fricked.

I agree she shouldnt have won her first but I can at least somewhat understand it. New cadidate and everything. The second term is a slap in the face to anyone that actually cares about the city

& Parish

I’m not sure what would have to happen but I want the mayor & parish president to be 2 separate people

The rep for river bend area Rowdy Gaudet should 100% run. Every time I see him on the news I’m impressed

He’s not what we need. He’s a do nothing and a real RINO.

Someone conservative needs to step up in that district and run against him. I’d support them for sure.

Wish we had some type of ordinance that states it would take 65% of register voters to actually vote in an election to make the results official.
We have to many elections where only something like 23% of the registered voters actually vote.
If the election does not garner at least 65% of voters voting then that elected position remains unfilled for the next term.
Too bad.
If we don't have a mayor-president then the Sheriff can run the parish.

All EBR Parish voters can vote in the EBR’s mayor’s race.

What if we don’t have a sheriff?

Honestly, I hope there’s only one vote in the mayor’s election. Mine!!!

There was a time when there was a city council and a parish council. I remember that.
I don’t know how it all worked, but that is what was in place.
