Have a buddy that went on a Tinder or Bumble date last year and the chick was a dude.
He said it was immediately obvious when he/she started talking and he looked down at the hands.
But other than that their appearance was that of a decently hot chick.
The shemale saw the look of horror on my buddy's face and told him they understand if he's uncomfortable and would like to end the date. My friend, who is a great guy, stuck around for a couple drinks to be nice but he said they just watched TV at the bar without speaking and the shemale ended up leaving.
He stayed at the bar all night to drink away the embarrassment
Mind you, this guy cleans up on those dating sites with hot chicks. He gets so pissed when I tell that story

Go out to Walk-Ons, karakoe night as a first date.
She fancies herself a singer, this was about a week after MJ died. She's up there singing 'The way you make me feel' gyrating and pointing at me.
She was awful. The whole patio is staring at me. I took my roommates keys, abandoned her and took off.
Roommate shows up an hour later with her and a friend in tow. Karaoke chick is still DTF after I told her I got sick and needed to leave.

I will never understand how people who basically catfish (by wildly inaccurate pictures or failing to disclose genetic sex) think things will end well. It all seems horribly embarrassing. The last thing I’d want is a look of extreme disappointment when meeting someone for a date.

Yup. I actually wasn't hitting on her then. I had tried that once and gotten shot down. I was just being funny before leaving.
I would have HR telling me it was not funny for everybody now. Hell, I would have to explain the humor for an hour.
ETA: I have a plethora of minor bosses. I tell one of them repeatedly that one of the women working there is his baby mama.

I have a story about about a guy a know. Well, I am better friends with his brother, who is the one who told me the story.
They were living in an apartment together and during that time the brother met some girl from California, online. They talked on the phone for several months, pretty much every day. She sent him a few pictures. She was have Mexican and was a really pretty girl.
Without meeting this girl in person he was falling for her. He agreed to fly out to meet her. They made plans he would fly out to LAX and take a cab to her house, where he was going to stay for a week. He texted her that he was almost there. He gets there and knocks on the door. This girl answered the door. He thought it was her cousin or something, because she talked about how she had cousins that stayed with her a lot.. He asked for the girl and the girl that answered said "I am her".
She starts to explain to him that she actually used her cousin's picture because she was concerned no one would respond if she put her picture up, because she was a big girl, not pretty at all. She then tells him that she is glad that he was able to get to know her and like her for her and that her looks shouldn't matter.
He walks away. Evidently his cellphone was dead by that time. He had no idea where he was going and walked until he came upon a gas station where he called a cab to bring him back to the airport. The day after he left he came home. His brother asked him why he was home and he didn't say anything, just went to his room. Later that night he went to his brother and told him he wanted to talk. He told him the whole story.
His brother told me that for several weeks after he swears there was a few times he heard his brother crying in his room. He said it took everything he had to not laugh at him because he could tell he was really upset.
