That’s horrible. My mother called me while I was driving home from work a 3 years ago to tell me she had breast cancer. She had known for about 10 days but wanted to know the prognosis and treatment plan before telling anyone besides my dad. She completed radiation/chemo and is in remission, but still rarely feels great due to having to take “chemo” pills for 5 years post radiation. Man, frick cancer

But it always helps. My dad's sense of humor got us through his lung cancer to the end. Dark humor for sure but humor. You can find a way to laugh about it because laughter always beats tears.

I hear you, but time and place man. I suspect y’all weren’t cracking jokes about him when you got the news.

My mother has been cancer free for 25 years, I hope your mother beats it too.

My older sister elected to have a lumpectomy. Then she had brain surgery. Then she died.

This keeps me up at night. My wife had a lumpectomy two years ago.

Lost a dear friend yesterday to breast cancer. She was a huge help to me 20 years ago and an awesome friend. We've stayed close over the years. Some people are irreplaceable.

Yep. I found out I had a type of Leukemia in 2016. It's unnerving at times knowing it's there, and can result in my demise almost at will.

There was a time when I would have had sex with her in an uncomfortable place.

I rather enjoy gallows humor. And besides, there’s nothing sacred about a tigerdroppings thread. I highly doubt she posts here.

If she's interested in massage therapy, I'm sure there will be volunteers.

I've an immediate family member currently undergoing chemo for cancer and it's incredibly hard to watch knowing all you can do is support and listen.

Some days are good and others are bad without any real explanation. All the other health issues that pop up as a result of the chemo are never really talked about either.

To all in this thread who've indicated you, or a loved one, is a current patient or a survivor, and to those mentioned in this thread who've passed, even though I don't know you, I'm praying for all of you.

frick. CANCER.
