I dont know what it is but it sure the frick aint a city....cities have mayors, city councils, police forces, fired depts, and pay city taxes and dont leech off the parishes and big cities that surround them..

I guess Metairie is just a suburb

It looks like the main line has gotten out ahead of the front and overtaken the warm sector convection. The models were showing these as two separate events over night but it looks like that might not happen. So instead of two distinct waves of potential weather we have one kind of sloppy mess. If that holds then that is a pretty positive break away from the frontal forced line with lots of spin ups late at night.
