I’m legitimately praying this morning that this event ends up a big bust.

Damn, SPC 30% tornado probability is very rare.

Stay safe out there!

Another thing that sucks is the idea that there may be a 12 or so hour window where we could have severe weather. That is a very long time period to deal with this. It’s going to be a long day/night.

Torcon is a garbage weather channel Stat. The sigtor is a much better prediction tool.

Weather underground only showing anticipated 0.32 inches of rain in west LA so i guess I should be fine.

Clouds are moving fast but wind not quite here yet on the ground

Pretty good wind out of the south in LCH. Everyone here treats every moderate rain like some huge event. Oncology already talking about canceling afternoon appointments at one of the hospitals.

I really wouldn’t get caught up in the TORCON numbers. Like others said, that’s something only The Weather Channel uses. More importantly, the key thing is that if you’re in Mississippi or Alabama, you have a major threat of severe weather and potentially strong, long-track tornadoes.

Sure, but more often than not, doom is pumped and proves an overreaction, thankfully.
