as the man on the ground in these weather threads for weird weather in CenLA... I am officially out of CenLA (have been since Mardi Gras weekend) and back in SELA in Metry (for now... probably moving somewhere between Hammond & like Denham Springs within the next 12 months or so)
that said... WeatherBug just gave me a dangerous thunderstorm alert here in Metry

My sprinklers don’t have anything to do for the first time in weeks.

I’m watching a wild lightning show in Metairie right now. No rain but tons of lightning.

Just a bluff, I guess I’ll turn them on in the morning.
At 1138 PM CDT, we have had multiple reporting sistes report wind gusts in excess of 40 mph. This boundary is a line extending from 8 miles northeast of Watson to near Shenandoah to near Geismar to Paincourtville to near Labadieville to near Gray. Movement was west at 25 mph.

TWC radar shows the system breaking apart and moving away from the south shore.
I’m about four blocks from the lake and I’ve been watching a lightning show to the east for about thirty minutes now.
