South central Livingston Parish in southeastern Louisiana...
* Until 945 AM CDT.
* At 935 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located near Sorrento, or 7 miles southeast of Gonzales, moving
northeast at 50 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

The sky got very dark, low, and was twisting pretty good but nothing touched down from what I could see. It did have a very tornadic look, though.

The tornado warnings always seem to be for Sorrento. I’ve lived in Ascension for a decade, and I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who lives in Sorrento.
