Call them and bitch that they didn't come in the time span that they gave you. They freakin' deserve it.

Seriously though, this has been a crazy arse day, but I'm glad that there are no reports of injuries yet.

I think south Louisiana may have had 3 tornadoes on the ground simultaneously today. Certainly an interesting weather experience...although I imagine that really big 4/27/15 storm was pretty impressive too.

lol not even close. But I was hoping that my husband would either 1) encourage them to reschedule or 2) offer to bring them.

Wow...my brother and sister in law live in a neighborhood just off Sharp Rd in Mandeville. Looks like that tornadic super cell that came through around noon went almost directly over them.

4/27 was nuts.

Then again, Prarieville and Livingston had actual tornado touchdowns today. Just two of many touch downs in south east Louisiana.

That storm had overshooting cloud tops. Deep deep convection, like almost 60k feet up cloud tops.

There wasn't nearly that level of instability present today. The juice was the twisting and strong winds in the atmosphere.

What was the term they used for that storm?

Why was it so special technically?
