Well if we didnt see enough yesterday another metro area is under enhanced risk today. There's already an interesting cell to the west of Ft. Worth and im slightly concerned about Super Cells firing off ahead of the boundary. Its getting ugly here fast.

Dangit. Time to call it a day and drive home.

Nothing out front is very elevated currently. It's the western cluster that has the most threat.
Get to the afternoon, and I suspect those lead cells might be problems in SE OK and western parts of Arky.
ETA: the differential reflectivity isn't just good for rainfall rates or spotting hail. Turn it up to tilt 3-4 and look for brighter returns. Can roughly give you an idea where the strong updrafts are.

Stubborn pattern in place. Trough out west, ridge in the SE. Storm systems riding round the trough and then directed around the ridge. N TX, Ok, KS, AR, MO over and over again.
The pattern is about to shift though, and the tornado parade should be ending soon.

TY for the tip!
GOES16 is showing some nice updrafts within these cells.
The unstable air starts around Dallas, and from reading the discussion on S2K, the expectation was for this smaller round to take some energy out of the atmosphere via a first line of weather. This hasn't happened to the degree the models though and now we may be at higher risk for SuperCells.
It's getting pretty dark out west for sure.

The one death in Salina yesterday was an 81 year old man who died in his bed.

GOES in tandem with the diff, can be pretty useful.
The area to the NE of DFW just needs to load up some daytime heat and they ought to start popping off a bit more robust.

You would be surprised how many people on the board live in the DFW area.

Suspect rotation out near Weatherford. Storms on Northside of Dallas got a little lift to em now.

Yeah the cookie cutters are getting smashed. Looks like everything will miss the penis shaft of DFW
