The damn power rebooting reset my alarm system and woke me up at 4 am after that marathon Astros game

The oldest dog kicked the door down. She's a huge pussy when it comes to storms or fireworks

We are supposed to drive from Tuscaloosa to New Orleans tomorrow, leaving around 11. This is looking like a bad idea. Would driving down to Mobile, then cutting across improve conditions? Only add about 1.5 hours...
If you're going to have to make the trip regardless, I don't see how the alternative route is really worth it.

How unfortunate.

Yeah, how unfortunate the prepping and shitty traffic on my way home for nothing.

Looks a lot better this morning on Weather Channel’s app radar. Does it look better on your apps?

It does appear the experts are truly concerned about the sounding information across the BR area. I’ve never seen them this concerned about a severe weather outbreak before. You’d swear they’re thinking a hurricane is about to make landfall. I can’t tell whether they’re just hyping r up or if they’re truly thinking, “holy shite this is gonna be bad”.
I know the soundings last night we’re all pointing heavily in favor of supporting long-tracked EF2-4 tornadoes from Lafayette, BR, Hammond, to Bougalousa.
That alone is eye-opening. Today could be bad, folks. Just keep an eye on the radar and have a way of receiving warnings.
Know where to go if a tornado warning is issued for your area. Door frames are sturdy, internal rooms without windows are best. Put as many walls between you and outside. Cover your head, too.

Rain, some lightning, but no thunder in NW Houston.
Hope the same for others as it progresses east.
