Can someone find actual video of Lee knocking out or beating other professionals?

size does not = strength. Especially in punching power. Most of your power in martial arts comes from body mechanics, which Lee mastered.

In fact, his teaching of proper Kung Fu body mechanics in the USA is what got him in trouble with Kung Fu masters in Hong Kong.

They did not view Westerners as worthy of true Kung Fu.

Bro, if you don't think he knocked out other professional fighters, you're sadly mistaken.

Next.

No, what I see is you making an arbitrary comment. Everyone is, but for you to think the ratio wouldn't be closer than 19-1 is fricking idiotic. I like Bruce Lee, but seriously....take a minute from posting thoughtless comments and go Youtube some Tyson highlight vids.
I've seen every punch Tyson has thrown. And I've studied Bruce Lee. I stand by my idiotic statement

He fought in his lifetime. Why does it matter if it was competitive? Are you saying Tyson wins because he was a competitive fighter? Because that's ludicrous.

Yea and I am sure the 44 professional fighters Tyson defeated by KO will say he was no slouch in punching mechanics.

Tyson was stupid fast for a heavyweight boxer.

I think we have to clarify this - he had good, but not great footwork for a big man - he was also aggressive and surged forward (which would work against him against an opponent like Lee).

He had fairly good agility and speed from the waist up, as well as pretty good head movement for a heavyweight.

Where he had a speed advantage - at least prior to Tokyo (and ultimately, prison) - was tremendous hand speed. I cannot remember a heavyweight with that kind of hand speed with power punches - that, along with 1-punch knockout power with either hand, and more than 1 punch (uppercut and cross), made him such a formidable opponent - when he was younger, anyway.

Where's the irony?

Ali, arguably the greatest boxer in history, learning some things from Lee is ironic in a thread where

1. There are those saying Lee really didn't know martial arts outside of Hollywood.
2. The thread is specifically about Lee versus a boxer

In a no holds barred match, Lee beats every one of them handily. Tyson would take more time but he would beat him too. Tyson has brute strength and size on Lee. That's it.

He wasn't just a TV karate man. He's arguably the greatest martial artist to ever walk the planet. If Tyson could land a punch, he may have a chance. But I don't think he's close to fast enough to touch Lee.
