Whoever gets the most vicious attack in first wins.
I'm about 55/45 Lee over Tyson because (Even though I don't have HD video evidence of his training) I think Lee was a martial arts master. I know plenty of them in Shreveport who are quite capable of ending a fight in one move if they had too.

Is there any video of Lee in a real, non-scripted, fight?

Sorry reading comprehension is hard for you. I clearly mentioned arenas in te response.
Why are you completely editing your posts? And my education is UDub. Not that it matters, but it seemed like a point of contention for you.

Tysons also fought when the heavy weight division was at its weakest
I am still on the Lee bandwagon but a prime Tyson would have dominated any era. I really wanted to see Tyson defeat Lennox but the after prison Tyson was nothing compared to his run in the late 80's.

So the arena has no bearing on the fight? Okay
And you're blasting my reading comprehension?

I don't care how much you train a 135 pound body it's still going to get destroyed by a flush hit from prime Tyson.
This. Tyson's blocks would be serious trouble for Lee. Like an Anderson Silva leg kick Chris Wideman.

JKD guys stress not fighting your opponents game. Like not boxing a boxer, not grappling with a grappler, and not kicking with a MT guy. Lots of times you are not going to know this in a straight out street fight but JKD has 3 ranges of fighting. High, middle, and low. You attack the range that the fighter is not in. You let your offense be defense until your opponent shows you his hand so to speak. So, in a Bruce Lee vs Tyson fight, Bruce would probably focus highly on taking out Tyson's nuts, knees, or feet.
Bingo. That's not "romantic" to think about for guys. They want "honor" of a fist fight, an exchange. If Tyson fought Lee and tried to play by "Boxing" rules while Lee didn't, that's almost a definite win for Lee if he's maiming and going for the nuts/stomping the feet. This has little to do with strict boxing outside of the ability to recognize space, footwork, and positioning.
Saying that Tyson's pure strength comes into play, other than his ability to maybe land one solid blow, is misguided. His durability sure as heck does though.

Off topic, but no fricks given in a 30+ page thread over a dead guy fighting a retired boxer. Are there any good BJJ schools in Shreveport? I work up there from time to time and drive to my buddies place in West Monroe to train because I can't find a school up there. Just thought I would ask since you seem to know about martial arts.

That's a good point and makes me wonder. Bruce Lee was freak fast. You'd almost think Tyson would have to be constantly on guard because as fast as he is from his boxing training and such, I still don't think Tyson could match Lee in hand speed.

Agree 100%

This. Tyson, if he's smart (and that's debatable), should also be doing the same thing, not trying to "box" his way to victory.

I don't think Tyson is beyond getting dirty in a street fight. As a matter of fact, I think he excelled at it.

Lee can play ping pong with Knut chunks, so Tyson

This would be a much better debate.

In my youth I hung out in bars all over the world, never saw a 135lb MMA fighter as a bouncer, always a 6'3" or more 280lb bruiser.

bullshite. Not saying he'd go undefeated, but Tyson in his prime was as good as any ever. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see Ali in his prime years as he was banned. Would have loved to see him during those years.
And he'd kill BL. Not even an argument.

That was fake.
Also, interesting to remember even MMA has to play by rules. Bruce Lee's first martial art was Wing Chun. It's not practical in real fights as Bruce realize but many elements are still useful(close combat, intercepting, you see a lot of this in his movies but it's great IRL too, look up 12 Hand Pak Sao by SifuEvangelos on YouTube).
Wing chun wouldn't be allowed mainly because it's geared around ending confrontation FAST. Lots of fingers to the eyes, throat, shite to break the nose. You'd never see it in competition because it just isn't humane to do those things other than in life or death matters. This is what Bruce built around(see the Ip Man movies, about his Master).
Now I'm not saying other MMA styles aren't meant to do the same, but with wing chun there is NO in-between.
