You have almost 190 COVID patients in your hospital? Assuming you work in Louisiana, your hospital has almost 20% of the total hospitalized statewide?

My hospital is in a city of over a million people. You big city dude who lives in Baton Rouge? Hahahaha. Cities with good healthcare infrastructure typically have multiple smaller hospitals. But tell me more dipshit.

DAMN! Has the local TV crew picked up on this news?

Seriously, I'd think they could really use your hospital to drive home the scare tactics and massively overcrowded hospitals.

And you have 274 beds

You work at the hospital that is about to be bought out, or the almost defunct charity hospital?

Not Louisiana. Most are old folks on high flow O2, who will walk on out. Not much different than a busy flu season. But they are still in there.

Quick question, how many of the patients tested positive for the flu?

You realize this falls in line exactly with the theme of the OPs entire point

The general public needs to here near or at capicty is not a big deal. They need context like "the people are turning over quickly, and this is like peak of some flu seasons"

Instead, you come in here like fricking Yosemite Sam with

"WE ARE FULL! HALF ARE COVID!! AHHH YOU frickING DUMBASSES"

You see how your brilliant emotional control as an RN kinda shifts narratives?

Of the Covid? Or total hospital census?

Only 2 so far have tested with both Covid and flu. I’m not sure what only flu is. I primarily oversee ICU and ED. Flu hasn’t really taken off yet this year.

That brings up the next question.

Is every campus in your Hospital System full with half being COVID patients? Or did they designated your campus to be the main COVID campus as to reduce possible exposure to staff at multiple locations.

Which should also be a huge WHAT THE frick IS GOING ON FLAG for people

We have basically cured the FLU if you look at the data

We already had roughly 200 flu deaths in Louisiana at this time last year. Last I checked, we were at zero still this year.
