Anyone else liking it so far?

It's set in a courthouse in Cleveland as Sarah covers a bunch of different trials and follows up with the people in the cases.

This Judge Gaul guy profiled in Episode 2 is harsh but fair for the most part. I agree with him getting onto the women telling them to quit having kids that are supported cradle to grave by the taxpayers.

He constantly brings up that New Mexico has the most newborns born immediately onto Medicaid at 72 %.

I think part of him actually cares and a large part of him loves his authority to wield over the people.

Frick that podcast for stringing me along in Season 1 actually thinking there would be some kind of resolution

It’s almost as if life isn’t black and white and isn’t filled with final resolutions. Imagine that.

I listened to episode 1&2......I felt that chick really wants to say just say that the courts are racist and sexist.

In the Dark is a little too biased to tell a good story.

Sarah on Serial starts it off by saying she's biased, then is actually very objective.

Still not convinced Syed is innocent though.

That's not the message I took from the Bergdahl piece.

If anything, it was a question of why a guy with documented mental health issues was allowed in the army.

Umm I didn’t think that he was made out to be a hero at all in that podcast. Just an idiot.

Syed did it. Jay helped cover it up and knew way more than he let on.

I think it sheds light on how fricked our judicial system is. Gaul clearly abuses his power to the point of coercing plea agreements without involving the prosecution. Dudes a piece of shite. Judges, or any elected official for that matter, shouldn’t be able to serve for 27 years.

Yea that’s not what happened at all.

I’ve only listened to episode 1 of season 3. It was very good and, I thought, fairly described how small time criminal cases are often processed. Looking forward to the rest of the season.

This was my conclusion as well.

Jay helps dump a body, he's an accessory. Explains why he had to cook his story.

He's definitely an arrogant arse, but he comes off as someone that is trying to help.

Dude, Adnan Syed got a retrial, probably as a direct result of the questions raised by the podcast. What more do you want?
