"Court of law" guilty? Probably not "Did he kill her" guilty? Absolutely
I think it was ep.2 where they first mention the "pathetic" comment. That courtroom exchange was very telling.

I agree with pretty much everyone here. I believe Adnan (probably with Jay help) killed Hae. They tried to plan it all out and it folded up and became a prisoners dilemma. At the end of the day, I do think Adnan was the one who completed the physical act of murder.
However, I found it interesting the facts of the case (and sometimes the lack of facts). Specially the timing after school to commit the killing in such a short window.

Just finished the podcast. I also believe Adnan is guilty but I think Jay was much more involved and it's shocking that he only received probation.
I know one thing....the people involved in the whole story were telling a TON of lies.

There's another podcast, but it's biased toward Adnan. It's called "Undisclosed". I listen to it, because I find the case interesting.

And God damn her accent/inflection/style were annoyingly Generation X liberal woman.
frick this. Unbearable at times. I would get in a trance sometime and just focus on the way she talked and it would annoy me to no end

For me, they were never able to reconcile why Jay would kill Hae without Adnan's involvement.

Also, I think some of you are forgetting the fact that this crime happen in 1999. It would be a completely different situation if it happen in present day.

quote:I know it's biased, but the new podcast has really highlighted the shadiness and incompetence of the investigation. I mean they completely lost Hae's computer. Jen admitted to discussing the murder with two friends multiple times, yet they were never interviewed.

Does Sarah Koenig want to frick Adnan?
I thought for sure that the last episode was going to be about them getting married or some shite.

Just listened to the show for the first time.. I was going to start a tread but figured the slueths on OT were already on this topic. After a quick search, I found the original thread and went for the bump

There may be too much doubt to convict him in our judicial system but that dude definitely did it....or played a MAJOR role. I think Jay got off way too easy.

The thing is, Jay has no motive to have killed Hae himself or to have been involved with anyone else who killed her on whose behalf he would have later framed Adnan.
There's a huge "motive gap" for any other explanation of him knowing where Hae's abandoned car was OTHER than 1) Adnan did it or 2) the cops framed Adnan by pressuring Jay into his coached confessions.
So I agree with the postervwho said we're left with only two plausible explanations.
