Sequoia all day long.
The GM vehicle will fall apart at 75K. Had two that were both shite at that mileage. Now have a 4Runner with 130K, on ly changed the oil and tires.

I had a used 2003 Sequoia Platinum I drove for 9 years before I traded it in with 215,000 miles for a used 2011 Sequoia Platinum that I've been driving since 2013. My current Sequoia has 122,000 miles and I plan to drive it for at least another 100,000.
I keep up with maintenance. Great for road trips. We drive back home to Louisiana at least once a year and you can't beat the smooth ride. Our 2003 held value well and the only reason we traded it in was the great deal that I found on the 2011 (during time gas was crazy high and not many folks were buying big SUVs).
Good luck on your new purchase.

My friend has a sequoia, and my main take away from driving it was that visibility was terrible. It made for an uncomfortable drive. I'm not sure if that's something I'd get used to or not. On the other hand, that big fricker could turn on a dime. I was shocked by that.
made parking really easy.

Suburban
Just as dependable
Newer
Likely has slightly better options
Resell will likely be similar
The last statement made me laugh.
I have a '12 sequoia. Going strong.
I had a '04 suburban. I liked that truck but stuff started happening at around 75k miles. Nothing huge but it started to add up.
Resale SUCKED on it.

It's barely 5 years old, lets hope so...
My wife is still driving an '06 Tahoe, still going strong...

2015 Sequoia 30k miles and 2016 Suburban 30k miles. Both similarly equipped and priced. I'm partial rob Toyotas but trying to keep and open mind.
Why do you rob Toyotas?
You either need the space or you don't, but a Sequoia is much more comparable to a Yukon or a Tahoe.
