I think the problem is that guys that saw her on Nickelodeon when she was 14 were attracted to her and it made them feel creepy. Now that she is in her mid 20's and it is completely appropriate to acknowledge that she is one of the most perfect looking females in the public eye, they can't disassociate her at 14 and 23 so they say she looks young because it still makes them feel creepy.

This doesn't make sense. Seems to me that guys watching Nickelodeon probably aren't concerned with adult females and are thus not in this conversation.
She is not perfect looking. And when you take in some interviews etc of her, especially if she's on a Spanish speaking show, she comes off appearing quite the dumbass.

I think there's something to that. All of these little child star Twinkies end up hot adult chicks because they were made stars in the first place for their prettiness.
