My friend had a literal geyser in his front yard for close to a month before he was able to shame these assholes into coming out and fixing it.

My water meter was leaking water and was basically a giant swamp on my lawn for 9 months. NINE MONTHS. I called and complained and filled out internet requests weekly by the end of it.

They finally came just this past Sunday at about 4pm. Had about 10 guys out there with a backhoe just standing around, digging up my yard and looking at each other. It did get fixed though.

The city is trying to fill the void left by the loss of the tolls

They should build a statue of the guy who challenged the crooked toll vote, brought it out of NOLA to a judge in BR, got it overturned and then helped defeat the tolls. It's estimated that the tolls would have cost the people close to a half a billion dollars over another 20 years and Mitch was the #1 toll cheerleader (so they could keep stealing the money).

For that guy to beat the political machine in NOLA, he deserves a statue. That just doesn't happen down here.

Its secretly to pay for removing the statues. At least the crime will improve after they are removed!

Aren't rising property taxes a big reason for gentrification? Poor people can't afford them so they sell their land to less poor people?

At least that is what the poor people in my neighborhood claim. The property taxes are causing them to sell their land for 400% profit to evil whites.
