Lots of people take Adderall in the IT industry. I was amazed at how common it is, post college years.

My younger cousin died of this overdose a couple of years ago while battling depression. It is real and sad. I cannot personally understand what causes these addictions to occur, so I suppose I am lucky to not be tempted to ever try...but the prevalence of its usage is uncanny and scary.

Thats me.

Its behavioral and you'll never fix it artificially stimulating your system.

Public schools were the worst offenders, drugging kids so teachers jobs would be easier. They also make money drugging children.

I knew a lot of people that did it in HS and college. Not too many afterwards. I haven't even smoked weed in well over 20 years.

Drugs are bad.

Somebody needs to spread the word better.

One of my cousin's sons died after experimenting at a party, he was a Sr in HS headed to U. of Arkansas.

The stuff out there isn't stable, I don't know why people are playing Russian Roulet with it.

Local news crew here in Spokane did a story on fentanyl and had an interview at a fire station and they said they now spend most of their shift going from fentanyl OD to fentanyl OD.

My brother in law is a paramedic in San Jose; says his job these days is almost exclusively responding to OD calls, mostly from fentanyl.

Over the last two weeks he’s had zero calls that weren’t drug related.

Respectfully... This is bullshite. Actual ADHD is a literal chemical imbalance in your brain. Adderall etc help temporarily correct that imbalance. There's a reason why people with ADHD don't speed off of Adderall. This is from someone who has lived without medication for a decade. You can learn to cope and survive, but I was much more balanced on medication.

Your answer is in your first sentence: he was at a party. Haven't all of us made very questionable/stupid life choices while partying, which almost always starts with the most available drug alcohol?

Most of us did when we were young. The list is endless: banging a chick you wouldn't normally look at (this one makes me throw up in my mouth a little thinking of my past), driving your car too fast, showing off on your motorcycle/ATV, getting your arse kicked, smoking if you don't normally, stealing or destroying property, etc.

So what's popping this one little pill that all my friends are taking?

As long as this junk is out there, people will continue to OD. That's life. Just try to pound the risks of it in the head of youngster's around you.

Or you can use behavioral techniques and cut out the drugs.

Its superior, the drugs are just a bridge. Who knows how many kids missed their calling because their schools wanted them drugged?
