I’d love to know how this bodycam video was released. Must’ve been found during a random audit.
Nah, he pissed someone off.

Probably pissed off a detective.
Detective Bosch.

My wife is a nurse and is appalled at how we talk at the station
Not only was the cop way out of line, regaled if it was intended to be a private conversation or not, he was in charge of investigating the potential impairment of his colleague in the accident that killed this innocent young woman. His judgement now lacks any credibility whatsoever.

Y’all would be very surprised how first responders react to that kind of stuff behind closed doors. I assume cop forgot he was being recorded or didn’t know. We say way worse shite, to be fair, it was supposed to be, I assume, a private conversation. Sounds horrible I agree, but ems, fire, and police, typically have very dark humor
Honest question...was he being sarcastic? Like out of frustration? If he's serious, that's some serious inhuman stuff.
But listening to it, it almost makes more sense to hear "i've seen it all before this is all so f**** up" vibe...

I wonder why he lied about how fast his fellow cop was traveling.
It seemed more like he was down playing or trivializing the incident and victim to protect his co-worker.

I would say close to 100% of the people I work with do.

Never been called one but maybe so

Cop may be an awful human being, I don’t know. Hate it for the young lady. I’d say more than likely he does also. We only got a snippet of audio from a “private” conversation. We don’t know how he truly feels about the poor girl or his co-worker

quote:It appears, based on reporting, he was minimizing the event and calling the guild president to protect his coworker.
He was also heard uttering: 'I mean, he was going 50 (MPH). That's not out of control. That's not reckless for a trained driver.' The cop driving the car, officer Kevin Dave, was in fact doing at 74mph in a 25mph zone before he slammed into Jaahnavi Kandula. Auderer is a drug-recognition officer, who was assigned to determine whether Dave was under the influence. He concluded that his colleague was sober. After finishing his analysis, he called Seattle Police Officers Guild President Mike Solan, and the pair talked for two minutes - which is the basis for the newly released bodycam footage. The Seattle Police Department said that the clip of Auderer laughing was spotted by an employee during a routine check.
Maybe the reporting is off, but the recording seems legit.

I don’t know squat about the investigation, I’m just keying in on the laugh and his comments on the audio. If he covered anything up for his co-worker he needs to face the consequences. I was initially under the impression he wasn’t involved with any of it (I just clicked link and listened to audio). But if he’s doing shady stuff then I hope it comes back on him.

It’s one thing for a nurse to have a dark sense of humor and joke a kid wild shite they see while trying to save lives.
It’s another to degrade someone you brutally killed in what SHOULD be a crime.

The cop in audio didn’t kill anyone

Nurses don’t have a sense of humor

Ehhh, we can agree to disagree. I’ll say if I was heading to a coworker that killed someone, even on accident, I wouldn’t be joking around. But I haven’t been in that situation and no idea how I’d react to talking to a coworker in “private”

I am not cop defender, but I am not going to judge. Those dudes see so much shite, finding humor out of it might be the way they deal with it, but they just need to be aware of whether or not they are being recorded, etc.
If they shite between each other and no one hears it then there would be no issue.
If that person was a friend or family member I would obviously have a different view, but the problem isn't that they said it, its that it was recorded.
