Send Braxton to school and don't you dare tell him he has to wear a mask!

quote:

The governor’s order also explicitly prohibits any county or local governments in the state from relying on prior orders or using a state of emergency as the basis for a local mask mandate and bars all state agencies, local governments, and political subdivisions from requiring what has commonly been referred to as “vaccine passports” for any reason.

While this is stupid, it's still not as stupid as the "small government conservatives" who have barred private businesses from requiring masks or vaccines.

Greenville County Schools issued the following statement Tuesday night regarding Executive Order 2021-23: Schools and districts were given no preview of the Governor’s Executive Order 2021-23, issued late this afternoon, or asked how it might impact operations.

The order is 15 pages long and appears to be somewhat contradictory about whether political subdivisions can continue to mandate masks.

Greenville is run by Karens.

I understand the sentiment, but equating vaccine availability in adults to the need to stop wearing masks seems counterintuitive. I agree with the ruling overall, but feel that his reasoning is flawed.

quote:

With the COVID-19 vaccine readily available and case numbers dropping, I will not allow local governments to use the state of emergency declaration as a reason for implementing or maintaining mask mandates,” McMaster said.

These are complete over reaches by governors. And isn’t this against their parties intent? Shouldn’t we want less government control? The governor sets the min requirement and each mayor decides their policies. I can see this going extremely bad in the future. You get the wrong governor in and chaos

Couldn't care less about masks at this point. Had covid and fully vaccinated. I don't wear one unless I'm somewhere that asks for it/requires it. Also don't think it's this horrifying imposition on muh freedoms when it is required
