Are you that much of a dumbass? We are basically where we need to be now. I would rather be able to do more stuff and simply put the mask on for 20 minutes in a store. No, I am not going to argue again that masks do help some.

Do mask prevent spread to some degree? Sure

Is it to a substantial degree as is promoted? Probably not.

Masks do the same thing as covering a cough or sneeze do. If you compare mask wearing to someone who sneezes and coughs in your face, then sure they work. However, anyone slightly civilized isn't subjected to this.

Nope, because the person sneezing and the other person has it on.

Isn’t perfect but it helps. Yes, Fauci lied early on

Are we still two weeks behind Italy and do we need to flatten the curve some more?

This is why I don’t understand why everyone is so obsessed with a vaccine.

Outside of the economic benefits for some with a vaccine, the major scientific issue is we don't know how long the immune response is for CV19. This is particularly an issue with asymptomatic cases. As an example, let's consider the immune response is present for 12 months, with a vaccine it is easy to get a yearly booster where without a vaccine that person would have to be reinfected and fight the disease off again to renew the immunity.

Outside of some miracle where the virus goes away or mutates to become more benign a safe effective vaccine is still the best way to put COVID 19 behind us.

This requires mask wearing which is difficult for the OT’s resident mouth breathers.

And if y’all would just stay at home and wear your mask immunity would be 100% because nobody would catch it

It takes about two months to kill a virus with the incubation and infection profile of COVID-19. This is because it can get passed serially within households. Who is going to keep the power plants running, the oil and gas flowing to power them, the hospitals to handle the inevitable emergencies, the food supply chain, pick up the garbage, etc.? These people will be out there getting the virus and harboring it for when we come out of your ill-conceived lockdown

You appear to be joking, but some will take this nonsense seriously.

This H1N1 obsession fascinates me. If you’re going to cite CDC estimates, cite the whole thing:
quote:

From April 12, 2009 to April 10, 2010, CDC estimated there were 60.8 million cases (range: 43.3-89.3 million), 274,304 hospitalizations (range: 195,086-402,719), and 12,469 deaths (range: 8868-18,306) in the United States due to the (H1N1)pdm09 virus.

Because a vaccine can be mandated which means more control over your life by the Chinese Flu True Believers and statists. Herd immunity reeks of too much common sense and personal responsibility for those types.

We’ll take whatever one we can get first.

Didn’t shut down over that...

Crazy how much social media has influenced everything

Another YUUUGE factor is that half-black messiah was POTUS during the swine flu.
The media was too busy sucking his dick (if he even has one) to worry about a pesky pandemic.
Now it can be used to hurt orange man, so the media is all in.

I knew of a guy who died of it that looked healthy. He was right at 60 years old. Never smoked but did like to drink, wondering if that was his downfall.
