Lifeguard and taught swimming for Red Cross when I was 16. Before that every Summer was spent working on the family farm for $0.00/hr.

Hoed cotton every summer from 13-18. It sucked. No stars, would not recommend.

Still have a scar from a gash on my ankle from chopping senia weeds in a cotton field with a manchette.

Worked for a farmer that had 1700 acres of farm ground. Most of the time I sat on a tractor from 7:30 am to 8:30 pm.

Worked at a greenhouse for my first summer job. I enjoyed it, it was mostly people leaving me alone while I watered plants.

Building board roads and work pads for land-based oil/gas well work....picking up chunks on new ground. Dropped off each morning at 6:30 with lunch, igloo cooler and a 5 gallon bucket (to put the wood chunks in). Walk up and down the field and gather the chunks to put in a pile to burn later. By 10:00 you felt like you'd been there all day.

From 7 to 15ish. Worked for my dad, he was a carpenter....I did the clean up and gopher stuff

15 go a job as a stocker and bagger

16 delivered and put together waterbeds in the 80s. My goodness at the "environments" I went into. Many of those folks couldn't afford it realistically but somehow we set them up at like 20% interest for 10 years.

Rock wool insulation processing plant. Loading 50 lb bags of insulation on a 40ft enclosed tractor trailer in 100 degree weather was not fun. After the 2nd day I was there, I told my dad I was going to quit. He said, "you'll give the man at least a weeks notice." After a week I was good to go and worked there until they shut down a couple of years later.

Kept rows clear on a sweet potato farm and detassled corn. Too hot and itchy . I hated it , but it paid for the little Millers .

Graduated HS in 2011 and started working for a local residential HVAC business. Thought it would be a "cool" summer job, until the Fall semester began. Baw was I wrong. Learned alot though.

Mowed yards from I guess the 5th grade to around sophomore year. Early to mid 70's. $25/week maybe? I was rich, I know that.

First W-2 job was Fun Fair Park. Still have that first paycheck stub.
