What about state workers?

Uhigh since it sometimes doesn't follow EBR.

this seems incredibly odd to cancel before a potential t-storm, what am i missing?
Severe thunderstorms and strong wind, possible tornadoes are expected right around 2-3 oclock tomorrow. I'd guess the parishes would rather close school for a day and not deal with potential terrible driving conditions for buses. People love suing.

Why not just shut the entire state down and make it a national holiday

LSU won't close unless someone dies, even then they'll only cancel classes after 6 pm.

Nicholas is going to use this weather as around the budget issue

Catholic schools seem to all be closing as they follow EBR because of bus usage..

CHS doesn't use buses and are not a Diocesan school. They typically follow EBR, buy could go solo if it wishes

All the privates will close, no way one decides to go against the grain.

If I know LSU...and I think I do they'll wait till the eyewall of the tornado is at Burbank before shuffling everyone to their cars to sit in traffic for 2 hours and fend for themselves.

Last time SLU canceled class after I was done for the day but then locked me in the building while the weather was bad. I have a feeling it's going to happen again
Posted on 2/22/16 at 7:57 pm to Adam4848
Yeah. LSU always waits until the last possible second. I remember last year for the tornado, they didn't close school until all hell had already broken loose.

I was at LSU in 2008 when the snowstorm blew in. Almost died (no joke) driving in to take my exam. That was some bullshite.
