I don't need an announcement. It's happening.

Would not be surprised.. BESE is a bunch of lazy fricks. Plus, it's 3 weeks. But still BESE sucks balls.

no one in their right mind believes that school will continue for the remainder of the year.

Probably. BESE asked Gov. Edwards to close schools for the remainder of the year, he just hasn't made that declaration yet.

Anyone know reason it has take LA so long to make the official announcement? As said, severa states have already done so.

seems like a no brainer. even if everything is "back up and running" by April 30, why send kids back to school for 2 weeks?

Then do they just repeat this grade for everyone? My kids schools are doing fine online and they will likely continue school

He has waited because he knows how many people are going to throw an absolutely hissy fit even though there is no point in going back for 3 weeks and risk the coronavirus running rampant again throughout the communities. If it took off in schools it would make the current situation look like the joke some of you think it actually is.
