Dealers tend to use minors as runners because they don’t get harsh sentences if they get popped for drugs.
That’s not even going into potentially selling to the bus riders.

School bus driver is the one job I would never do; don’t care how much it paid. There’s not enough money for me to drive around a large cumbersome vehicle filled with unruly little assholes and wanna be gang bangers. Nope.

I don’t expect as pure as snow, but I don’t want them to be snorting the snow either. Especially to be distributing it. That’s not just oh he partied too hard while in college or something. Not it shows they have a series of bad decision making.

9/10 times "intent to distribute" is a bullshite charge that they're basing on the amount of a substance someone has and not their actions. A lot of the time it's just a way for PDs to add on charges.

I get that the "intent to distribute" thing is a bullshite charge for some substances, but are you sure that is true for cocaine?
If teke184's post earlier is correct and you need 28 grams to get hit with "intent to distribute," and if Google is correct and 1.2g is generally considered a lethal dose... well, no, that sounds pretty bad on his part.

But can you say for fact this is the case with this person? I don’t know. So I wouldn’t want to put my child in his hands.

I don't think you realize how little this job pays.
School bus drivers in Cobb Co, GA where I live make 17.50 an hour and 7 hours a day. Nothing great, but not bad at all for a part time gig. They also get benefits.

Part time, but with enough hours that makes a second job hard to come by.
Driving a school bus has always been great for people who don't need to work full time, retirees, etc.
But you gotta put up with a lot of shite for that pay. All while driving safely.
It's kind of like working as a youth sports official. On an hourly basis... the pay is actually decent. But what you have to put up with, isn't worth the pay.

I worked at a school for 5 years in college doing after school program. Those kids were better than my clients are now

And in this case, it appears that you would be correct.

I could be wrong but I believe that in Louisiana you have to have a CDL with a passenger endorsement to drive a school bus.

They could be talking about an Orleans parish permit. It seems Orleans Parish took over regulation of school buses in August.

Soooooo...he applied four days before early voting started in the gov's race. Probably not related to busing people to the polls.
Shady bus drivers would never be hired to do that. Not in NOLA at least. That would never happen.
