It was an unprofessional thing to say.

All he had to do when they brought up the news about the school closing as a reason for the poor results was to bring up scores from previous years and then put the onus back on them to address the data.

And he still would have been called racist for it. Might as well throw a zinger if you're going to get the label regardless.

Maybe, but regardless you lose the moral high ground when you act like a jackass needlessly, especially in a professional situation.

Morality has no bearing on the people he's dealing with. So why care about the moral high ground?

I certainly agree with this.

I would also say it was in response to an equally unprofessional question:

Will you admit, sir, that children reading in the newspaper about how their school might be closed would have a drastic influence on test scores?

Data isn't important to these people. Myths are made up all the time to excuse shitty performance.

If I were a parent in the audience and heard some a-hole say that about my kids and his classmates I would have beat his arse. Totally unprofessional taking a shot at children like that. F that guy.

And the kids would still be stupid.

I agree. It was also extremely warranted.

Yup. It can be both insulting and warranted, and that's the point we've reached. You can tell that board was really fed up with these people and their school.

The shenanigan level at some of those Democrat-area charter schools is pretty high. It's a Pampy Barre, New Orleans Library Foundation type of scene.

Erie Rise Academy scores a 1/10 on Greatschools
I don't think I have ever seen a school score a 1/10 in every category.
Has to be the worst school in that state.

Well based on OP's video, that's blatantly apparent.

What he said was rude, but if kids are failing and the school is failing then the outrage is misplaced.
