A pic in another post reminded me of my biggest instance of schadenfreude of all time. It had to be when Anthony Weiner sent a pic of his weiner to everyone in his social media contact list.

I don't know why but when I see people fall, my instinct is to laugh. I think its funny when people bust their arse.

My favorite schadenfreude story, I was following this music festival near my town where some storms were rolling through. I got on the message board for the festival to laugh at all the hippies getting drenched and muddy. But there was a thread on there about a photographer needing an assistant.
As a videographer myself, I read the guy's post and thought what the hell, I'll message him and see what happens. He picked me out of all the people who applied, and I got free tickets and a back stage crew pass for the entire weekend. Found my friends one night and ate some acid for the Primus show. Ended up having a great weekend and it wouldn't have ever happened if I wasn't looking for some schadenfreude in the first place.
