You're an idiot. How hard is it to not get a girl pregnant? And if you say, "oh she said she was on BC". You deserve it.
PSA: ITS NOT HARD TO NOT GET A GIRL PREGNANT. DON'T RELY ON THE GIRL. frickING MORONS

For me, I know instantly, if I’m interested, but it takes me a while to understand why.
I should be clearer, I’m not thinking of degrees, but being cultured.
Well educated in the English sense.
That means, being polite, having good manners, and having normal healthy social views. Is she a lady?

Imagine your dick is a pen, you signed an 18 year contract wether you intended to or not.
So just abide by the contract, and accept the twists and turns in life. You can still lead a happy life, but you got to go in committed to making it work and push away all the “could have been” thoughts.

Corny answer but only answer.
You have to love the girl. Otherwise your just an a-hole who will cheat in a few years.

You will be attached to her for at least 18 years anyway. If you absolutely know it won’t work out, my best advice is to get a clear, legal, comprehensive custody and child support agreement. Follow it to the letter and treat it like a business arrangement. No messy on/off hookups with the baby mama, being sentimental and being “friends” and talking about no essential things. If you ever do want to marry someone else, this woman will be in the way to some degree for almost 20 years. If there’s any chance you think you could make it work, marry her and accept your lot in life. It will be better for the kid.

“Is she a lady?”
No, but she has big tits.

You are going to have to deal with her for the next 18 years even if you don't marry her. Not to mention the fact that not marrying her would make your child illegitimate.

I’m just here first to say I hope at minimum, 75% of the OT never procreate.
Secondly, as a woman, because that’s how I’m starting every post now, some of y’all are incredibly dumb. Too dumb for me to single out the asshat that mentioned how easy it is for women to not get pregnant with all the birth control and abortion options available. That guy can eat a dick.
Thirdly, when my son was born almost 18 years ago, I refused to get married, because I didn’t want the implication that my marriage was based on pregnancy. Even though I already planned to marry my husband. We waited another year to get married so it wasn’t a topic or conversation. Married or not, you’re equally responsible for any unplanned pregnancy in spite of the length of time you’ve been dating or the birth control options that were exercised.
And yes, co-parenting is super easy these days if the parents aren’t grudge holding assholes.
BUT a single mom’s life will be 3-5x more impacted off the jump by an unplanned pregnancy, so don’t consider yourself an unsung hero because you pick a baby up for visitation twice a month, if that’s the extent of your obligation.
Again, most of y’all really shouldn’t have kids out of wedlock, or at all.
