South Carolina's health department: Cities and counties that have mask ordinances have seen a 46.3% greater drop in COVID-19 case numbers that areas without them.
Right now, about 40% of S.C. residents live in areas with mask ordinances.

I'm totally sure that there is no fudging in these numbers.

Assuming that is true the statistics could easily be due to those places that mandated masks already being hit earlier. These are likely larger cities where the rural areas have seemed to take a while to reach higher case numbers. Louisiana is a perfect example where the trend was obviously starting to improve when the mask ordinance went into place.

What's funny is if you posted this exact same OP substituting "increase" where it says "drop", everyone doubting the numbers would be shouting it from the rooftops as the gospel truth.

"All stats are bullshite except the ones that make me feel good."

Wear the mask. Easy peasy except for obese people who can’t breathe.

Whatever helps the lockdown crowd sleep better at night

sure but what happens when people stop wearing their mast in 2021 or whenever? Cant just hide behind a mask all your life. Herd immunity has to take place at some point

Even if true.
And not the result of areas hit earlier being more compliant.
They'll just take longer to hit herd status.
End of day. Nothing accomplished.

I just read that social distancing has gone way down in Dallas County. Must be the reason for the drop in cases lol these idiots parroting studies and stats don't realize that more powerful factors besides policy has a greater influence.

correlation does not equate to causation. Lets see real data.
