Korean veteran, golden gloves champ, we didn't want for much growing up.

Marine Corps vet of WWII, Korea and Vietnam. Passed away last year. Grew up in a small Texas town and had not been farther than Dallas when he went off to fight in the Pacific in WWII.

He still has a fine head of hair.
Wish I could say the same.

He was always smiling and easy going

Just grilled some chicken for my dad. 81 years old. Thankful that I still have him around. He was a very good mechanic and loved to duck hunt. He helped me get through college even though he didn’t have a lot of money. Some of my best memories are duck hunting and running trot lines with him on Catahoula Lake.

My dad was in the Air Force and flew planes. He was a great photographer. He was born and raised in New Orleans and went to Jesuit and LSU and he died before I turned 13. I miss him very much this day and all days.

Pops is now 88 years old and goes to work every day, he owns his business. The only thing I can say is I hope I'm half the man he is. His father was a mean alcoholic and Dad knew what not to do in life, he always made the right choice.
Small in stature but has beaten cancer twice, survived a stroke, and is still in very good shape.

Mine was a Vietnam combat vet who didn't try to dodge draft like so many. The war fricked him up bad and he came back a violent sob who was very lucky he wasnt put in prison (or a mental hospital) for decades. He was always angry and violent but he also always held a job, never missed work and made a good salary. (He was not a deadbeat like some other troubled vets). We had a nice home, new cars and never went hungry. I cannot complain about him in that regard. However, I really hated him for some things he did. When he died I went through a range of emotions. It was tough.
A lot of this, except my Dad was in Korea.

Best man there ever was. He is my best friend and I sincerely love the man.

Lost mine 10 days ago in an accident. Spread his ashes today. From the looks of this thread, he would’ve gotten along well with a lot of y’alls Dads.
Show them and tell them you love them often. Don’t wait for Father’s Day. You just never know

There's not enough room in this forum for me to honor the man that sired me. Honest, righteous, always had our back. But if you messed up, he would show you the error of your ways. Lost him in 1998, but still see him in my dreams.
Love you CB!

My grandfather raised me and was the only "dad" I knew. He was a hero to me. Paratrooper in the army and dropped into Normandy on D-Day.
RIP Pops.

Led a simple life, loved hard and was humble.
