Saw new report about Gonzales Entergy issues

Not sure all what they got going on over there but in my area I'm tired of power going ON-OFF-ON-OFF in 2 mins. This is killing the ACs and other equipment in my house and businesses. It's getting crazy stupid. My generator doesn't even need to do my regular test run bc it's getting used constantly. ENTERGY get your shite together. Entergy, do you mind if I send you my repair bills for ruining my compressors?

When they were doing the upgrade and putting up the new wires on Hwy 42 in Prairieville my power surged several times back to back then would go off completely and back on. Fried my generator panel. Had two electricians come look at it and repair it and both said it wasn't a coincidence it fried while the power was surging and that was definitely why it happened.
Filed a claim with them and a company from Shreveport called and told me to take pictures of the panel and send it to them. Did that and a couple of days later they told me it was not because of the surging therefore wasn't entergy's fault. Of course the claim company gets paid by entergy so guess what, they aren't going to approve claims.

It’s not hurting your AC….they have a delayed start that prevents this

I am LOLing right now. I am at the camp and was going to tell you to run a drop-over to a Demco area because they tend to have stable service almost all the time. As I was about to hit send the little thunder storm started making the power go nuts. That teaches me to dance on someone's grave.

Electrical sub meters can be installed that monitor and track power usage, brown outs, and surges. I'm sure it flags outages and durations of such.
You can even have it monitor individual circuits if you have a garage apartment you lease out or want to know your pool's usage.

What’s the chances that my power just went out in Geismar while reading this thread?

So you won't mind if I come throw your disconnect switch a few times right????? Like when ever I want and how ever many times I want to? That ain't good for any equipment.

The greatest generation created, the boomer generation maintained, the entitled generation destroyed

I’m tired of our power going out in St Gabriel everytime it rains and we have underground utilities.

Same here. Saw a leaf blow across the lawn then boom, no power. This is at least the 3rd time power has gone out in the past two weeks.
frick you, Entergy!

Hwy 30 up to the hospital and that new edward scissorhands development, The Conway are all run off that one station on the corner of Weber city and Roddy. It’s been there for years and I’m no engineer but I’m pretty sure it’s over capacity. It used to only power X # of homes but now it’s powering 20 times that. This is what happens when you don’t upgrade the infrastructure before building. Same thing with the roads in AP. But we need more shitty DSLD/DR Horton homes!

Our Grid is so fricked....
This is substation\generation level issues on aging and over taxed equipment.
They are sending off frequency power to you more often than you think. It's part Entergy and part poor management\design in MISO by adding a regulated monopoly that could give 2 fricks in the mix. The more wind\solar you add to the grid, the more exacerbated this issue will be if ancillary systems are not employed to compliment. I have full time electricians and HVAC guys that manage my properties. We have spent 10s of thousands of dollars on motors, compressors and other gear this summer that we can tie directly to power distribution abnormalities. We've started installing phase monitoring and power conditioners to stop the damage.
Entergy needs to be dismantled, If you sue them they'll just use your money to fight you.
Elect Public Service Commissioners who will go to war and will not be bought by Entergy is step 1.

The DEMCO areas in AP were horrible 20 years ago. Then DEMCO had crews come through and hacked every tree close to their main lines. Including some large old trees that landowners were a bit upset about. But the power stability since then has been pretty good with no complaints.

I checked the Entergy outage map while it was out. The string from just west of Alexander's down 74 and Bluff Road were the only outages in the area.

ENTERGY IS A shite-SHOW COMPANY!
Seems like every week now the power goes out and city lights cease to operate, while homeowners in the multitude of subdivisions have to endure.
Having Entergy as your energy provider only pushes sales up for Generac and others.
