Man, I spend so much time there in the 80s.
As did I. Then as I got older, me and my stoner friends would smoke a bunch of weed and go ride the rides high.

I remember, before Cortana Mall, cutting through the woods from VDR and going to Fun Fair Park to ride the rides or to watch a concert with friends. Our territory was from Choctaw to Florida and from Airline to Flannery....lots of trails and woods then. Now gone. Fun times. Glad I grew up when I did.

Late 70s-80s were a good time in BR. Al azar grotto haunted house on Florida, the skateboard park near ponderosa. Goony golf and Skate city.
Trolling the mall (of all places) on Friday nights, at the teen club that was there. More than a lot has changed. And not for the better.

Pasqua Theater in Gonzales.

Living in Galvez / Prairieville in the 70s, Gonzales was the big city.

the teen club

Frisco's? Me and my friends would go buy a six pack each and drive around getting drunk before we hit the club. Gave us the courage to ask a strange girl to dance.

Sprinting into the video store to see one copy of the Nintendo tape you wanted to rent on a Friday afternoon.

Taping that song in the radio you’d been wanting to hear for 4 hours absolutely perfectly.

That first time you kicked off the “sonic shoot” at water land USA in Houma in the summer.
