The Sam's Clubs in Clarksville Tennessee and Bowling Green Kentucky are totally different. I prefer the one in Clarksville

Costco has their stuff together. I spend less time in a Costco line than I do in the express line at Kroger.

This is just making consumers do the work of employees.
Work that doesn't need to be done anyway.

So stupid. The technology is there to just walk through a set of rfid scanners, then scan and pay instantly.
I've always heard how impressive Walmart's logistics technology and inventory management was until I had to spend 45 minutes in a Sam's Club walking around with an employee looking up at pallets for a product they had in the store but didn't know where it was stored.
I'm pretty curious to see how Amazon changes this space after buying Whole Foods since they are aiming at implementing the kind of frictionless transactions you're talking about.

Sam's Club accepts SNAP (formerly EBT) cards.
They went downhill as soon as they started accepting every damn thing under the sun for payment.
I wish my town had a Costco.

I've used it several times. It's pretty nice. They also have a service where you can place your order online and pick it up at the store.

The line to get out of Costco is worse than the checkout line.
