I'm thinking the folks at the AVNI (RED) model may need to do some tweaking of their software on its five-day forecast...

If I were in Slidell or anywhere on the Northshore that floods or anywhere that flooded for Issac I’d be getting my shite together

Upshear it appears too. Hopefully it can’t make it around.
Looks like the shear is still blowing off the tops.

What improvements have been made around Laplace? Isaac flooded that area like never before.

There are a few that do the same thing.
They all start agreeing and I'm going to bolt.

So how did the Euro and GFS do initially? Looking at the 588 line.
Now the Euro...
and the GFS...
Euro was a little better at the initial step. Typical of the two, GFS a little too weak with ridging, weak as it is. Could imply the GFS is a little too slow and that allows the farther east solution. It's all pretty subtle though.

Nothing to my Knowledge. However I think money has been allocated for some kind of storm protection system but I don’t think any work has been done however I could be wrong.
