Will she complain she was setup on camera for not wearing a mask?

No pressure drop to speak of on recon so far. Trends today have been promising for strength. Rainfall continues to be the biggest concern for areas east of landfall.

If she gets her act together, she will be a bad mofo.

Had relatives in Oak Harbor (Is this a place?) near the Northshore that ended up getting about 4 feet of water in their house.

I once listened to Kathleen Blanco give a commencement speech where she patted herself on the back for the handling of Katrina.

Politicians are imbeciles.

As expected. The shear will let up as it moves to the west as Sally moves away from it and that’s when it will strengthen.

It's a fine line and there really isn't a big difference between the 00z HWRF for 18z today vs. the 12z:

The evolution over the next 12 hrs plays a big role as the 00z rotates convection upshear and really gets an inner core going with consolidation and alignment of the 850 - 500mb vort. The 12z appears to struggle with shear and can't fully rotate convection upshear and continues to be strung out, esp. at 500mb.

Welcome to Friday.

Seriously though, the visible low level rotation continues to be a good thing for humans and bad thing for Sally.

Yes, which is why continued meh-ness today is a good thing. Keeps high end potential relatively capped.
