I am not. I knew like most that this would be the outcome for Blane.
Fair enough.

After watching that video, the police really escalated that situation way out of control when they tazed him. He was on the car. They had him, but decided to taze him anyways. Alton didn't start struggling until after they tackled him.
They never had him. The first thing he did was to pull away from Lake.

Even had he not been fired, he could of never worked the streets in BR again anyway.
Blane went in too hot, but that's easy to say when you're watching a video two years later.
But I agree, even if they let him stay, he'd be stuck in an office somewhere. He'd never be on the streets of BR again.

I think because BRPD fired him that leaves the city open to civil suits from both the AS family and Blane too which in the end leaves the BR Taxpayers on the hook for those costs...Glad I am getting out of here in a few weeks.

Well that's how it works.
The first guy asks him something and he keeps turning and walking away.
The second cop comes up and tells him what's about to go down if he doesn't comply.
Dude never complies with any command they give.
Let's not forget the original call is a guy threatening people with a gun. You don't pansy arse your way in that situation, you take control and everyone listens. If they don't, that's what happens.

Without a doubt. These pussies would be begging to run back to SBR after the first call.
Yeah, probably so, which is why we didn't sign up to be LEOs.
Salamoni did, and it's clear he's not cut out to handle himself properly.
What's lost in all of this is how well Lake handled things. His suspension is the biggest injustice.

Dude was already on the car. They didn't have to taze him. Just f&%king cuff him and get it over with.
After they taze him, he's just standing there with his hands up and they tackle him.

You are incorrect
AS was not against the car. He was tazed to his knees and then stood up.
Think about that. AS shrugged off a taser and stood up. AS was not a small man. Also, the officers were called to that location because of a complaint of a person waving a gun.
So, the officers have a person reported with a gun. They were confronted with a large suspect who did not:
- comply with the first request to turn around and put his hands on the car
- comply with the second request to put his hands on the car
- took a taser blast and stood up
You team that up with a AS who
- is a felony with a concealed weapon
- who took drugs recently.
AS knew if he was searched, he was in jail. He was doing what he could to avoid being search. THAT is why he did not comply. THAT is why the police commish spent enough time in his press conference to say if police ask you to comply, then do it.

The fact that the posters in this thread cannot agree on what they think they saw in this video is an excellent example of why eyewitness testimony is the most unreliable,

Even though I am against what happened, that is pretty much the sad truth. Sterling had zero chance to live a meaningful life...even by nbr standards, "selling CDs" is not productive.
He would be in jail or doing the same thing.

It's worth noting that CNN says Alton Sterling was just jokingly waving his gun around.

The final outcome aside, no person should be employed as a LEO who talks to citizens with such filth mouth and swearing to God he will kill them by shooting them in the head point blank while pressing gun against citizen's head. Then continuing to call the deceased derogatory and filth names after killing them.

Have you ever tried to cuff anyone? Ever? Especially, a big dude that really doesn't want to be cuffed because he knows he is fricked if goes back to jail?
He was on the car and still no complying, that's why he was tazed. And the tazer didn't work, I think that pretty obvious. He was hopped up on enough drugs that he probably didn't feel it. So after that doesn't work and he still isn't compliant, the force gets escalated.

Joking or not......it’s illegal for a felon to be in possession of a firearm.
As I said several times in this thread, Mr. Sterlings life choices led him down this road.
And yes, BS came in hot a frick......but if Alton was obeying the laws the cops would have never been called and we wouldn’t be here today.

Check out the link below so that we can objectively see what kind of man Alton Stirling was, the kind of man that the governor of this state wants us to aspire to...
